Another group at work was creating a presentation that focused on audio in virtual reality and they needed a catchy graphic for their presentation. They gave me a fair amount of creative freedom with this project, and it was a lot of fun to come to this image.
This whole project was done in UE4 (other than some model edits of the headset). I used Niagara for the line work and greeble particle bits, and some custom shaders for all the translucent stuff. I absolutely love using UE4 for this type of work. The instant feedback, and level of control I get is better than After Effects or other 3D software.
